Armane took out a short term loan when his daughter fell ill. The loan covered his daughter’s hospital costs and ensured that she recovered to full health.

“I took the loan because of sickness. I have a child in town, she was sick and we had nothing to help her to get to hospital so I borrowed money for this. She was 19 at the time; she was already married and was pregnant. Her husband was away.

The baby was gone [she had a miscarriage], so it was very serious. She was about three months pregnant, so it could have been life threatening. She fainted here and only recovered after being in hospital for one hour. The hospital did lots of things they gave her medicines and injections. Now she is fine."
